The Workbench provides an overview of any information relevant to Business Processes, Emails, Notifications, and Tasks. The Workbench also gives the ability to connect an Email or notification to a process or task just by dragging and dropping.

Comidor Workbench is an easy way of monitoring the Tasks, Processes, Notifications, Calendar, and Mailbox in one place.

 

Workbench View and Actions

To access the Workbench: Go to My Comidor > Workplace > Workbench.

You will see the respective tabs:

The Actions Icon on the top left allows you to refresh all open tabs in the Workbench and customize which objects are shown.

  1. To create a new Process click on the + Icon at the top of the Processes tab. For a new Email click on the same icon next to Activity Stream and for a new Task click the icon next to Tasks.

3. Search for a specific Process title or Account name and then click on the refresh button. Filter the Processes by their State. Choose between Active (which includes Opened, Confirmed, Scheduled, Running),  or just the Running ones.

  1. By clicking on a specific process of any type a summary will appear at the bottom of the screen
  2. Monitor the Process from here – a pop-up summary provides a range of information and features:
    • Basic information e.g. State and Process relation with a specific Account, Contact or Workflow
    • Time information such as remaining time to finish, task completion percentage or workload in hours percentage
    • Tracking the State of the Process through quick buttons (ability to Postpone the process)
    • The Full View Icon will redirect to a full process summary and allow you to edit the process
    • Process Actors gives a summary of everyone involved in the process
    • Other related objects such as Sub-Processes can be created or displayed along with Tasks. Check related Comidor objects (Accounts, Messages, Files, etc) that are Linked with this process or add a new Link (in the “Other” dropdown menu). Upload Files directly to the process or attach files with their URL by clicking on the Earth Icon

    • Discussion board to communicate with colleagues about the process. Click on Open Editor to use an enriched HTML Editor to upload images, customize text or add emoticons. Click on the Comment Icon to add a new Note. People or Groups that are added in the “Send notification to” field of this Process will receive a Notification when someone adds a comment.
  1. Click on the down-arrow in the middle of the screen at the top of the process summary to close the pop-up Process window.

Activity Stream in Workbench

  1. View all Emails, Messages, and Notifications and group them using filters:
    • Click on the + Icon to send an email.
    • Search any Email, message or notification that you have received by subject, account (when relevant to the email or process) or date
    • Group activities by Date, Folder or Account
    • Group activity by Folder to see the following
      • Priority Notification: These Notifications inform the user when a new task/process is added when it’s time to start a new one when someone has shared a folder or an old task/process has been completed. Reminders can also be found here. These Notifications are also displayed in the Notifications tab in the Notifications bar.
      • Notification: When someone has commented on a Process (of any type) or Task a Notification is shown here in the activity stream. Choose to notify user(s) about a Comidor object and Notifications will be shown here. These Notifications are also displayed in the Notifications tab in the Notifications bar.

  • Internal Inbox: Internal messages from other Comidor users that are connected are found here. These Emails will also remain in the Notifications bar until they are marked as completed
  • Priority Inbox: Emails from Comidor objects such as Contacts or Accounts that are not yet connected are found here. These Emails will remain in the Notifications bar until they are marked as complete
  • Inbox: Emails from people not on the Comidor platform are found here (e.g. customers and suppliers). These Emails are also visible (depending on personal User Settings)) in the Notifications bar until marked as completed
    • Click on “x” to dismiss a Notification
    • Click on “√” to mark Message/Emails as complete
  1. Choose a Notification or Priority Notification in the Activity stream. A pop-up window appears showing more detailed information about the notification.notification - workbench v.6.2| Comidor Platform
  2. Click on an email or message and a pop-up page appears
    • The sender, subject and body of the Email will be shown
    • Mark this Email as Complete, Add a quick Task or Add a quick Process. Create a Task or Process with this email
    • Click on the button on the top right of the pop-up page to open the Email in a new tab on the Active Units Bar
  3. Click on the down-arrow in the middle of the screen to close the pop-up Process window

Calendar in Workbench

  1. View all the tasks in the Comidor Workbench filtered by Task priority:
    • Click on the + Icon to Create a new Task.
    • Click on refresh to see any new tasks in the Calendar
    • The drop-down menu allows filtering the Calendar to show all tasks or only certain types of tasks and orders
    • Navigate through different days using the blue arrows which will refresh the Calendar accordinglycalendar in workbench v.6.2 | Comidor Platform
  2. Click on a Task and a pop-up page appears. For more information on this see the Tasks User Guide

  • View the Basic Task Info, Task Description and Key Dates related to the task
  • If the Task has already been started, execution info will be partially completed
  • If a repetition plan has been created for this Task it will be shown
  • Any Report that has been added to this task will be shown
  • Get the task info by reviewing its Relations. Find or add related Accounts, Contacts, Files, Processes, and other related Comidor objects. The main related objects are displayed separately. Clicking on any Comidor object will direct to that object’s page
  • View existing Assets or add a new one. Request physical assets such as a company car or a financial asset such as a company credit card
  • View or add sub-tasks to this Task and get information about their state, times and priority status

  • Upload Files or add links to files using a URL by clicking on the Earth Icon
  • The Discussion board allows those involved in the process to communicate with each other. Click on Open Editor to use an enriched HTML Editor where you can customize the text and upload images or emoticons. Click on the Comment Icon to add a new comment
  • Change the Task state by clicking on the task and then clicking on the relevant Task state in the top right of the pop-up window. The pop-up window can then be closed by clicking the down arrow at the top of the pop-up window

Tip: Assignor and assignees of this Task will receive a Notification when a user adds a new comment.

Workbench Smart Actions

To access Workbench:

  1. Go to My Comidor > Workplace > Workbench.
  2. When a process has been created, an Email address has been connected to Comidor, Notifications have been received and Tasks are due for the current date then the Processes, Activity Stream, Calendar and Tasks tabs will be shown
  3. Drag a received notification, message or email and drop it onto the appropriate entity (such as a Task or a Process) to link them together

The default screen in Comidor is the Home Dashboard. The new Home Dashboard saves you time, offering exactly what you need in one single panel. With all of your applications and widgets in one place, your work has never been easier. 

Create a customised experience that matches your daily tasks and processes. Build and modify your dashboards with a simple-to-use no-code builder. 

Design your Home Dashboard

To access the Home page at any point click on the Home tab in the opened apps or on the logo on the top left of your screen.

On the top right of your screen, click on the “edit” button to switch to edit mode view. If you are editing your Home Dashboard for the first time, you can also click the “Add Elements” option.

Your home dashboard is now in edit mode and you can add multiple tabs, application tiles, “quick add” tiles, graphs, images, labels, and text.

Drag and drop the tile you want.

  • Add an Application tile to your Home dashboard to quickly access a Comidor Unit or Custom Application.
  • In the pop-up window specify:
    • The title of your tile.
    • The description of your tile.
    • Check the checkbox if you want the tile to have a transparent background.
    • Background and font colors (choose from color palette).
    • The Font Size and the Text alignment.
    • Choose from the list of menu categories (e.g, Workplace, App Factory, Custom apps, etc) the Application Category that your app belongs to. In the category list, you can find all the menu headers and also all the packages so it will be more convenient for the user to find his custom applications
    • The Application you wish to access. The application can be a Comidor Unit e.g. App Designer, workflows, tasks, or a custom application that you have already created.
    • You can also upload an image from your pc. The image will be added to the tile background.
    • Click on Save Changes.

  • Add a Graph tile to your Home dashboard, to display a Widget.
  • In the pop-up window specify:
    • The widget that you wish to display from the list of all Widgets.
    • Click on the Funnel Report check if you wish to add a Funnel Report with your sales opportunities.
    • Click on Save Changes.

  • Add a Quick Add tile to your Home dashboard for quick initiation of a Custom Application.
  • In the pop-up window specify:
    • The title of your tile.
    • The description of your tile.
    • Background and font colors (choose from color palette).
    • Choose an existing Template from the list, and the respective form will appear.
    • The Application you wish to initiate. The application can be a Comidor Unit e.g. App Builder, workflows, tasks, or a custom application that you have already created.
    • The quick add form; this form will be the one to start this application.
    • The action to send an email or message.
    • Click on Save Changes.

  • Add a Media tile to include an image in your Home dashboard.
  • In the pop-up window specify:
    • The image URL that you wish to display.
    • OR upload an image from your local storage.
    • Link to an app or a video
    • Click on Save Changes. After you save, the user will get an embedded view of the video.

  • Add a Label tile to your Home dashboard, to display text information in your dashboard.
  • In the pop-up window specify:
    • The title of your tile.
    • The description of your tile.
    • The URL to direct you to the site you wish.
    • Background and font colors (choose from color palette).
    • The Font Size and Text alignment.
    • Click on Save Changes.

  • Add a Text tile to your Home dashboard, to display a specific message to the dashboard.

  • Resize and arrange the elements easily with drag-and-drop.

  • You can also delete, edit or copy an element, in edit mode, by clicking on the respective button.

  • Create multiple tabs to organize your tiles in the way you wish, combine different data sources, and get deeper insights.
  • Click on the “+” icon on the tab to create a new one.
  • Click on the pencil button to rename the tab.
  • Drag and drop the elements you wish inside each tab.
  • You can also delete a tab by clicking on the “x” button.

Navigate Home Dashboard

After designing your Home Dashboard, you can see all the “graph” elements with real-time data, and can click on the “application” and “quick add” elements. You can also switch from one tile to another to view the respective elements.

Additionally, the Menu Icon, AI Copilot Application Buider, Translation, Tooltip and Fullscreen icons, the search option as well as the notifications, messages, calendar and absences icons can be found on top of the screen. While using Comidor, these features will always remain at the top of the screen.

If you click on Help, a sub-menu appears where you can get useful information about the platform.  You can get redirected to the Comidor website for:

  • Comidor news
  • How-tos
  • Useful videos

The search feature allows for searching the entire Comidor application for any entity or object and also allows the search results to be filtered. By clicking on the Application tab the search can be expanded to include Memos and Files. After the search results are shown, the results can be filtered on the left-hand side and relevant results will show on the right.

Click on the Help Center tab, and type a keyword (e.g. Tasks). By clicking the enter key on your keyboard you will be redirected to Help Center at www.comidor.com.

If Comidor is active but you are not currently working, when a new notification is received within Comidor then a desktop notification will be displayed. These notifications can be configured within the browser settings.

Next to the notification bar, the user image will be displayed; clicking on it the User Settings opens. In User Settings:

  • Edit the personal information in Profile
  • Get information on your own account and all the available Comidor plans
  • Set up preferences in Settings regarding email or customize the Comidor Interface
  • Information about the Comidor version and site
  • Log out from Comidor

On the top right of the page, you can find the Notifications Bar. There are four icons and when a new notification is received an orange box appears next to the relevant icon. The four icons are:

  • Notifications
    • System Notifications – These inform the user when a new task/process is added; when it’s time to start a new one; when someone has shared a folder or when an existing task/process has been completed. Reminders will show up here as well. These Notifications are also in the Workbench Activity Stream.
    • News – When someone has commented on a specific Process or Task a notification will be displayed here. Notifications regarding specific Comidor objects are displayed here as well.
  • Messages – When a new Email is received the alert will be displayed here. Customise Email notifications in User Settings.
  • Calendar – The Calendar icon opens a Calendar that shows your tasks for the current day.
  • Absences – This informs you about the colleagues that are on leave.

As with the notification and search bar, the User Image will always remain at the top of the screen while using Comidor. Check more about User Settings in the Graphical User Interface section.

The Quick Add menu is accessed by clicking on the main menu. It allows the user to quickly:

Quick adds allows smooth navigation, anytime you need to. While using Comidor, Quick Add will always remain at the left of the screen. Check more about Quick Adds in the Graphical User Interface section. Did you know that Quick Adds can be used to Link a Comidor object with the background screen Comidor object? Learn more in the Data Management section.

Furthermore, from the main menu users can:

  • Access Opened apps and Favorite apps
  • Access to Workplace (Tasks, Contacts, Events, Mailbox, Notifications, Workbench, etc.)
  • Access to Processes (such as issues, all processes, etc.)
  • Access to My Activities (for any employee-related requests, such as absence requests, employee requests, etc.)
  • Enter the App Factory for creating applications and workflows
  • See all available Packages (Accounting Automation, Document Automation, HR Automation, Process Intelligence, Project Automation, Sales Automation, and Survey Automation)
  • Perform the Company Setup (such as Business Setup, Organizational Chart, KPIs, Data Management, Application Rights, etc.)

Comidor offers an easy way of creating your own desktop with Comidor Desktop units.

My desktop

  • Create your own customised desktop based on your everyday needs.
  • Create tiles and gather your most-used apps and units in one place.
  • Access units or initiate apps with one click.
  • Manage access to every tile by using user access rights.

You can also pin My Desktop unit in the active units bar, for easier access. Go to User Settings> Settings and tick the My Desktop. After saving the changes, every time you log in to Comidor, My Desktop will be your default opening unit.

Desktop units

In order to access the Desktop units, go to Modules Menu Icon >User Desktop > Desktop units

Create Desktop Units

  • Give a title to your Desktop Unit. Anything you type in this field will be displayed in the respective tile in the unit My Desktop.
  • If you wish to give access to a Unit of Comidor, e.g. unit Tasks, Processes, Absence Management, etc, type the respective database name of this Unit in the field Name.
  • The message that you type in the Description, will be displayed inside the tile in the unit My Desktop below the title.
  • Determine the position of your tiles.
    • Type 1 for the first in the row, 2 for the second, etc)
  • Specify the size of your tile.
    • You can enter the value ‘1’ for a small block, the value ‘2’ for a medium block, the value ‘3’ for a large block or the exact width of pixels you’d like your block to have.
  • You can also define the colour of each tile.
  • Each tile can be visible to Everyone, one or more groups from the organizational chart, or dedicated users. Select the preferred option in the Access Code.
  • Furthermore, you are able to trigger an Application with the On Click Function.
    • Trigger the quick add form of an application, or the initiation of a process, task, absence request, etc.
    • You can either trigger a quick add form(on-click function) or access to a unit (Name field)
  • Finally, click on the preferred save options.

Manage Desktop Units

In order to access the Desktop units, go to Modules Menu Icon >User Desktop > Desktop units.

In the new tab that opens, click on the Desktop Unit that you want to modify.

  • Click on the pencil icon, make any changes you wish and then click on Save.
  • By clicking on the actions button, you can delete the record, print it, link it with another comidor entity, notify users.

Manage multiple Desktop Units

In the table Desktop Units, you can select one or more records, and apply actions. In particular, you can multi-delete records or link them with other comidor entities.

Furthermore, you can also apply more advanced settings to the layout of My Desktop.

  • Those settings apply to all users.
  1. In order to access the Desktop units, go to Modules Menu Icon >User Desktop > Desktop units.
  2. In the new tab that opens, click on actions button> Change Settings
  3. Click on the pencil button to add the settings
  4. Select a background image
  5. Add an Html code
  6. Add scripts to enhance the functionality of My Desktop
